The Extracurricular Activities Section of MacKay Medical University is under the Office of Student Affairs, dedicated to promoting diverse student learning and fostering a vibrant campus environment. Its core responsibilities encompass the guidance and management of student clubs and organizations, including the facilitation and advising of club activities, as well as the management of club equipment and spaces, thereby assisting students in establishing sound and sustainable operational mechanisms for their organizations. By planning and executing various club events and camps, the section enriches students' extracurricular life, cultivating key soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, while creating a diverse, lively, and cohesive campus culture.
Beyond club-related affairs, the Extracurricular Activities Section is also responsible for the planning and administration of internal and external scholarships and financial aid, encouraging students with outstanding academic performance, exemplary character, or special achievements to pursue continuous excellence, while assisting economically disadvantaged students to alleviate their financial burdens so they can focus on their studies. Centering on student needs, the section integrates internal and external resources to foster a warm and educational learning environment, promoting the balanced development of students across the five domains of education (moral, intellectual, physical, social, and aesthetic qualities) to nurture future medical and health professionals equipped with professional expertise, humanistic care, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
